Responsibilities Of Rigger Level-II TUV Certified:

  1. Must be aware and have knowledge regarding lifting plane.
  2. Must be able to read and understand the equipment load chart.
  3. Must have full knowledge of load calculations and equipment, including the SWL calculations for cranes and boom trucks etc.
  4. Must be aware about critical lifting (Tandem lifting, Tailing lifting, Blind lifting, High Load Percentage & Man Basket lifting etc)
  5. Inspection of all rigging and lifting gears before starting the job.
  6. Rigging gears must be color coded as per organization/client safety rules.
  7. Identify the load (load weight, load shape, load type).
  8. Identify the place where equipment (Crane or Boom truck etc) will setup or installed for activity.
  9. Identify the pickup and drop paths (the place from where the load will lift and and the place where the load will keep)
  10. Barricade and control the 360° area around the equipment and keep the safety sign boards before starting the lifting activity.
  11. Keep a safe distance from electrical power lines and excavations at the work site as per safety rules.
  12. Select the correct type and size of rigging and lifting tools as per rigging arrangement.
  13. Identify the hazards associated with activity.
  14. Take the control measures and precautions as per job hazards.
  15. Must be trained and well aware of tag line knotting and holding techniques.
  16. Must be stand in a visible and safe position while giving hand signals to operator during lifting activity.
  17. Store and clean lifting equipment properly after use.
